The Skill of the Makers | Luxury Plains
Drawing on the unmatched skill of the makers and Zoffany’s exquisite knowledge of threads, design, technique and colour, this series of fabrics raises the bar in texture, tone and handle for design schemes.
Luxury Plains is a considered series of the finest plain fabrics, meticulously sourced from around the globe and woven in seven unique, hand-selected mills for a rich offering of fabrics in Zoffany’s archival colour palette.
Each fabric in the series is a testament to Zoffany’s commitment to quality.
Designed and woven to be a staple in every designer’s toolkit, these fabrics boast a distinct and exquisite character. They are not only visually appealing but also offer a unique texture.
Crafted with integrity, each fabric has been curated for designers to use across schemes, ensuring their tried, tested, and proven quality and provenance. With three outstanding performance fabrics as part of the series, unmatched luxury meets high-performance values in Amoret and Audley, while the nature of Wool Satin carries inherent water and stain repellency.
This series also includes weaves, velvets, and bouclés, with defining lustres and yarns woven in mills selected for their expertise. Seven different mills have been collated for seven distinguished and elevated fabrics.
Zoffany continues to take the utmost care when sourcing and developing fabrics. The quality of the yarns is held in the highest regard, so specialist manufacturers around the world have been sourced to produce these textures, handles, and performance qualities.
Peter Gomez, Lead Designer, Zoffany, says; “This treasury of plains brings texture to the Zoffany portfolio, each with its distinctive look and feel, which is a testament to the incredible mills in which they were produced. These fabrics, all of proven luxury qualities, are taking on new life in new colour stories that elevate the masterpiece designs within Zoffany’s portfolio.”
Delving into the archive, Zoffany has explored the rich history of colour recipes for this new series, Stockholm Blue meets Spanish Olive and Eau De Nil across chenille and linen. The Lustre design even carries a Natural Undyed colour option, a testament to the fabric itself.
Combined with Zoffany’s ink box, a new palette is presented, one that feels elevated from the everyday, with contemporary hues in the mix for translation into modern and traditional schemes. The entire palette comes together as a staple colour collection for Zoffany, with a palette that is indicative of the use and the yarns.
