Throughout the 18th century, pineapples became a symbol of prosperity and wealth amongst the English elite, with Arcadian Thames resident and poet, Alexander Pope, trading the exotic fruits for items of importance and curiosity. Our homage to this highly regarded fruit captures the distinctive character of indigo resist prints.
